Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics to perform work on the C5 transport plane. Sheet Metal Mechanics will perform work on inlet cowlings, main landing gear doors, cargo doors, aft ramps and other large structural components of the C5. Candidates should have advanced knowledge of aircraft sheet metal overhaul and repair procedures. Basic computer skills and knowledge of technical orders and blueprints are required; should be able to complete paperwork needed for Quality Assurance. Work is typically performed in teams of two; requires lifting up to 25-30 pounds on occasion. ~~ 3-22-08

Composite Bonding Mechanics for work performed on multiple C5 components in th Bonding Shop and the Special Projects Shop. Candidates should have a working knowledge of adhesives, composites, honeycomb core, fiberglass, and heat control for curing. . Basic computer skills and knowledge of technical orders and blueprints are required; should be able to complete paperwork needed for Quality Assurance. Work is typically performed in teams of two; requires lifting up to 25-30 pounds on occasion. Because the bonding process is so specific to the C5, on the job training will ber provided in addition to the skills brought to the job. ~~ 3-22-08
